DOOM is back – and with a spectacular trailer. Once again, demons are begging for a good beating.
In the past few days, there has been a deluge of information about new games currently in development, such as a new Dragon Age. One title is sure to please fans of bloody shooters, as Doom is getting a new installment. “DOOM: The Dark Ages” has released its first trailer, and it leaves most people simply thrilled. But see for yourself:
What can be seen in the trailer? The “Doom Guy” is thrown into a world that seems to be a bizarre mix of medieval and science fiction in Doom: The Dark Ages. On one side, you fight with ancient weapons like mace and shields, but on the other hand, you have ultra-modern firearms and energy barriers.
The shield with chainsaws is also often thrown at the demon hordes, effectively tearing them apart, while other weapons also want to rip out some hellish pieces from the targets. But it is exactly this effective violence against the demonic troops of hell that Doom is known for.
However, the Doom Guy does not just stay on the ground; he also pilots giant mechs and even rides a dragon to tear apart the oversized demon spawn once again.
How is the community reacting? The new Doom trailer seems to hit the nerve of the fans just right, as the feedback is overwhelming. On YouTube, the trailer is rated 98% positively, and in the Games subreddit, there are 97% upvotes (as of June 10, 2024, 10:30 AM). Accordingly, the comments are also enthusiastic:

When will DOOM: The Dark Ages be released? Fans will probably have to wait a while for the release. The launch is supposed to take place in 2025 – a more precise date has not yet been given. The shooter will then be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, on Steam, and in Game Pass.
