A new trailer for Blizzard’s Diablo Immortal was released on July 31, 2020. In the video, you can see battles, bosses, classes, and how advanced the mobile game is now. A soon release seems possible.
Where did the trailer come from? During ChinaJoy 2020, Blizzard released a new trailer for the upcoming mobile game Diablo Immortal. ChinaJoy is the “China Digital Entertainment Expo and Conference” and runs until August 3 in Shanghai.

Fans have been waiting for new signs of life from Diablo Immortal. The new trailer raises hope that a release is just around the corner. Because in the video, the game looks quite advanced.

This is shown: In the new trailer, you see exciting gameplay battles with regular enemies and also with bosses. All classes are showcased in dedicated short clips, from the Demon Hunter with crossbow to the Barbarian with axe.
According to Ahmad, Diablo Immortal is now available for pre-registration in China on Android and iOS.
What classes are there? Six classes are expected to be available at launch. These are:
- Barbarian
- Monk
- Sorcerer
- Crusader
- Demon Hunter
- Necromancer
Does it look like a release? The gameplay gives a finished impression. The abilities are animated, boss movements are ready, the dungeons feel complete and polished. Yes, they even showed an elevator and again the raft, with which you can interact.
Such interaction possibilities with the game world have already been demonstrated by Blizzard on the official website of Diablo Immortal. Based on the shown scenes of the new trailer, it seems that Activision Blizzard could soon pull the lever and start the release.
What do we know so far about Diablo Immortal?
This is Diablo Immortal: The game is a hack-and-slash being developed by the Chinese studio Netease in collaboration with Activision Blizzard. Blizzard often emphasizes that this is not supposed to be a typical mobile game, but rather the real Diablo experience on mobile.

How is the development going? In February 2019, the developer studio Netease stated that Diablo Immortal was essentially done on their side and they were only waiting for the GO from Blizzard. In November 2019, Blizzard itself referred to it as a “rumor” that Immortal was almost finished. It was still in production. They want to take their time to make Immortal as good as possible.
In February 2020, Rod Ferguson announced his move to the Diablo team. He is the overseer, known as a so-called Closer. He completes projects. When this news broke, it was already assumed that Diablo Immortal was nearing completion.
In May 2020, there was again news about Diablo Immortal. They remained on track with the game and want to start regional tests this summer.
