The dark strategy and survival game Gord is now available on Steam and throws you into a dark world full of magic and monsters from Slavic folklore.
Gord is a city-building game with survival elements from the developer studio Covenant.dev. In it, you are responsible for a small village and ensure the survival of the inhabitants as well as the growth of your settlement.
It combines strategic gameplay elements, like those known from Settlers, with a dark fantasy world similar to Gothic.
Today, on August 17, 2023, the game had its launch and is now available for PC on Steam and GOG. Additionally, Gord has been released for the platforms Xbox Series X|S and PS 5.

What does the gameplay in Gord look like? It is a single-player adventure focused on strategy. You navigate through a story or test your skills in self-chosen scenarios.
In doing so, you take care of the satisfaction of your inhabitants and continuously expand the settlement. But you also need to pay attention to a good defense of your facility.
For around you lurk hostile tribes, magical beings, and dark monsters inspired by Slavic mythology.
In addition, you send your inhabitants on exploration tours and complete quests. Thus, you might go hunting for legendary creatures or have to uncover hidden secrets.

How much does Gord cost? On Steam, you can get the standard edition of the survival game for €34.99. Alternatively, you can buy the Deluxe Edition for €40, which includes the game along with the DLC “Hold your Grounds”, the digital art book, and the soundtrack (as of August 17, 2023).
