The new coop RPG Wayfinder from publisher Digital Extremes will launch today on Steam as well as PS4 and PS5 in early access. The game combines dungeon-crawler gameplay with RPG elements, such as housing.
Wayfinder is a dungeon crawler and action role-playing game with multiplayer elements. In the game, you take on the role of a so-called Wayfinder and engage in the fight against darkness to save the world of Evenor from chaos.
When does Wayfinder enter early access? Today, on August 17, 2023, the early access of Wayfinder is supposed to start. The game will be available at 7:00 PM. In addition to the release on Steam, it will also be launched simultaneously for PS4 and PS5.

Wasn’t Wayfinder supposed to come earlier? Originally, the early access was planned to start on August 15. However, it was postponed by a few days as some issues needed to be addressed in the version. The developers needed a little more time for that (via playwayfinder). But now the bugs have been fixed and early access is imminent.
What does the gameplay look like in Wayfinder? Similar to Diablo, you dive into various dungeons, take down creatures of darkness, and gather plenty of loot to continually improve your characters and their equipment.
Characters have individual abilities and strengths in combat. For example, Niss is a nimble warrior who performs quick melee attacks, while Wingrave supports the team as a shield and healer.
In contrast to Diablo, the fantasy world in Wayfinder is significantly more colorful and integrates steampunk elements with magic. You can explore the permanent game world either alone or together with others in co-op.

How much does early access in Wayfinder cost? If you want to play Wayfinder in early access, you need to purchase a so-called Founder Pack.
These cost between €17.99 and €129.99 depending on the package size (via playwayfinder). With such a pack, you not only gain access to the game but also various exclusive items and customization options for the Wayfinder.
