An exciting new trailer gives a glimpse into the gameplay of Windblown, the upcoming action-roguelite from the Dead Cells developers on Steam.
What is Windblown about? In Windblown, you take on the role of a warrior who must save his homeland from impending doom. This lightning-fast action-roguelite comes from Motion Twin, the creators of Dead Cells.
The Ark, a floating village around a deadly whirlpool, is threatened by terrible envoys. In this fast-paced adventure, you must fight through constantly changing islands, uncover secrets, and face the guardians of the whirlpool.
You can unlock deadly weapons, view death as a lesson, and even fight with other players in online co-op mode to improve your chances.

Who are the creators? Behind the game is the studio that also developed Dead Cells. Unlike Windblown, Dead Cells is presented in 2D and has received over 125,000 ratings on Steam, where it is rated extremely positively and counts for many as one of the best games there.
A significant advantage of their new game Windblown may be the co-op aspect that was missing in Dead Cells. However, it seems unclear how many players can play together in total. The trailer does reveal that you can definitely explore this new world with three players.
When will the game be released? A specific release date for Windblown has not yet been announced. However, it is certain that according to the developers, it is set to appear in early access on Steam later this year.

I guess Motion Twin really likes to make their death animations unique. I mean, before it was a green blob possessing a headless corpse, and now an axolotl is vomiting?! Truly majestic

This is basically a Co-Op Hades and I can’t wait

The art direction reminds me so much of Spiral Knights, I can’t wait to see more of this game!
