In Destiny 2, leaks often appear that create a stir in the community. However, a clip has allegedly been released by Bungie themselves, containing hints for the new poison class. We will show you whether the leak is credible.
What kind of leak is this? It is said to be a video of an employee from Bungie. In this video, the new finisher from Season 17 “Scythe Strike” is demonstrated on a Fallen Exile. Guardians have discovered some interesting things in this clip, take a look:
The interesting part is the super and ability bar. The color of the ultimate always indicates the element. For the solar ability, it is orange like fire, for arc it is blue like electricity or lightning. But here the color is green like poison or something toxic.
Also, the abilities seem to be mixed up. The Titan is using the solar grenade “Firebolt” and also a triple charge of the stasis melee “Shiver Strike”.
The video raises more questions than it answers, but how credible is it? Is this really a leak about a new poison class or is it all just a well-made fake?

How credible is the leak? When the video made the rounds, it was removed by the Bungie ArtStation account. Therefore, it gave the impression that the developer did not want more eyes to catch this hint. Yet, the leak does not seem credible either.
It is unlikely that Bungie would mix the new darkness class with various abilities of well-known ultimates and their symbols.
Also, the green color could just be a coincidence chosen as a placeholder. Overall, the entire super bar seems hodgepodge, designed to look like something new. In addition, we from MeinMMO have developed an example image for you:
The only thing that catches the eye is the super symbol. It looks like two blades with a bow surrounding them. It does not appear to be poison or Egregore spores – more towards Shockwave or Resonance.
It is also questionable why Bungie would choose these abilities in combination with the unknown ultimate symbol. The development team could have chosen one of the four known elements without risking such a leak. However, to find out more, the community will have to wait until the release of Lightfall.
What Bungie once said about new guardian abilities: Already before the launch of “The Witch Queen”, Guardians dreamed of such a new, fifth class. But at that time, Bungie quickly dampened this enthusiasm. Joe Blackburn, the current game director, stated that while a new ability class is indeed in the works, it will not be released with Witch Queen and therefore not in year 5.
Not a new element, but a system: We from MeinMMO have taken a closer look at the video and believe that this is at most a new system from Bungie. Your Guardian is the master of all known elements. You can switch through your ultimates at any time but are forced to execute them fully. A mix of solar and void is currently not possible, for example.
What if Bungie is working on a system where you find the opportunity to build your own ultimate? A mix of all learned elements tailored to your beloved playstyle. This is merely a theory based on what is shown, but it wouldn’t be entirely out of the question.
