For Diablo 4, Blizzard has announced a new DLC. “Vessel of Hatred” or “Gefäß des Hasses” is said to bring a new class called “Spiritborn” according to data miners. What speaks for the class and what you can expect, you will find out here.
What is the Spiritborn? The Spiritborn is said to be a new class in the upcoming DLC of Diablo 4. According to leakers (via youtube.com) who have accessed the data of Diablo 4, it was found that this is a never-before-seen class that Blizzard has developed for “Vessel of Hatred”.
The Spiritborn is said to be nature-connected, making it suitable for the upcoming jungle setting. Additionally, it is supposed to wield a glaive. How it can attack with this weapon and whether the class can also cast spells or perform miracles is not yet known.
However, treat the information with great caution, as it is still leaks that have largely been confirmed. So, a lot could still change by the final release.
Blizzard prefers to create new classes rather than bringing back old ones
Where are the known classes? Even at the release of Diablo 4 many fans wished for familiar classes like the Paladin, Witch Doctor, or Monk to return, and although the community’s sentiment was clear, Blizzard is taking a different direction.
If the leak about the Spiritborn is true, Blizzard is focused on developing new and innovative classes in the future. With Diablo: Immortal, a new class, the Blood Knight, was already introduced. This is a mix of Paladin and Vampire, so it delights with new abilities and also brings freshness. The Spiritborn could be a mix of Druid, Witch Doctor, and Sorceress, wielding nature-based magic and using his glaive to keep enemies at bay.
It remains to be seen how Blizzard has cobbled together the new class and whether it can ultimately stand against the existing classes.
When will the first DLC of Diablo 4 be released? The first DLC is set to be released by Blizzard at the end of 2024. A dedicated team of developers is working on the project. A major announcement about the project will then be made in the summer of 2024. This will provide details about the DLC so that players know what to expect.
