Paladins is getting a new champion in patch OB57. His name is Strix and he brings several new mechanics to the action MOBA. At its core, the damage dealer is a sniper who fights with a sniper rifle. However, he can swap out his weapon and shoot with a pistol at close range. Added to this is a cloak mode in which Strix becomes completely invisible, and a flashbang.
Strix will be the new damage dealer of Paladins. He is known as the “Ghost Feather”. This champion is something special, as Strix has some mechanics that are entirely new to Paladins:
- Swapping between two weapons
- The combination of sniper and cloak mode
- The cloak mode consumes a energy bar
- A flashbang
Strix is a master of disguise, whose clothing resembles an owl that lurks over its opponents in the dark night. The sniper is one of the best snipers that have ever existed in the universe of Paladins and trained the sniper Kinessa.

Strix is highly mobile for a sniper and can move invisibly across the field. However, using the cloak mode consumes an energy bar. When this is depleted, Strix becomes visible – or when he fires a shot.
Even though Strix is primarily a sniper, he can swap his weapons. The pistol has low damage but fires quickly.
As an ultimate ability, Strix uses a flashbang that blinds opponents within a large radius.
The skills:
- Claw Rifle: A powerful weapon that fires one shot per second, dealing 1300 damage. Sidearm: A semi-automatic pistol that deals 250 damage per shot. Direct damage
- Spotter: Look through your scope and aim with utmost precision. Flares: Fire a flare that reveals enemies within a large radius. Direct damage.
- Cloak: Hide yourself to escape from opponents. While cloaked, your energy is consumed.
- Quick Switch: Switch your weapon.
- Flashbang: Throw a flashbang that detonates on contact and blinds nearby opponents for 3 seconds
Strix’s legendary cards enhance weapons and cloaking
Strix’s legendary cards enhance his cloaking ability and weapons:
- Ambush: Weapon shots during cloak deal 15% more damage
- Night Owl: Your cloak bar is consumed 50% slower
- Deadeye: The sidearm deals 20% more damage to targets hit by the sniper rifle within the last 4 seconds
