New cards from the Hearthstone expansion “Witchwood” have been released. The Witchwood does crazy things – especially Hunters become peculiar!
In the past few days, numerous new cards for Hearthstone have been revealed through community channels. We want to present the biggest highlights to you here. Especially Warriors and Hunters can be excited, as new legendary minions have been unveiled for them. But Priests and Mages also received great minions.
New minions Friedhofflitzer, Aufziehautomat, and Unglücksrabe in Hearthstone
Priests are waiting for a new, interesting minion for 6 mana. The Friedhofflitzer has stats of 6/5 and a cool deathrattle effect. Upon its death, it summons another deathrattle minion from the hand (if one is in hand). This allows for interesting combinations that particularly benefit the Priest quest.
The neutral minion Aufziehautomat has high combo potential for all classes. For 5 mana, it only offers stats of 4/4, but it has the effect that the hero power’s damage and healing are doubled.
Mages get a toned-down version of Atiesh, namely the wild minion Unglücksrabe. With a mana cost of 4 and stats of 3/3, it isn’t very stable. However, it summons a random minion costing 2 mana whenever its owner casts a spell. This can quickly fill the board, especially in combination with inexpensive spells.
Smariss and Darius Crowley – new legendary stars?
The highlight is likely a new Legendary for Hunters. They receive the legendary dragon Smariss, which brings 8/8 stats to the board for 10 mana, but through its Battlecry doubles the health points and attack of all minions in the Hunter’s hand. Whether this motivates Hunters to build a deck more focused on “late game” remains to be seen.
Also legendary is the minion for Warriors, Darius Crowley. For 5 mana, it only has stats of 4/4, but it has Rush and gains +2/+2 each time it attacks and destroys another minion. It requires strategy and a bit of luck to make Darius really strong, but it can quickly create a snowball effect leading to a rapid victory.
How do you like the new cards and especially the fresh legendaries? Is there something for you, or do you find the cards boring?
