MeinMMO has already reported about the dark and dystopian MMORPG Mad World and now the developers have announced an Alpha for the game.
Mad World is an MMORPG that you play from an isometric perspective. You see your hero from above, similar to games like Diablo.
The game is being developed by Jandisoft. These are developers who previously worked on the MMORPG classic Metin 2 among others. With their new game, they are taking a much darker path.

What kind of game is this? In the MMORPG Mad World, humanity has fallen. The world has been overrun by demons and is now desolate and devastated. Your story is one of hope in the seemingly never-ending fight against your oppressors.
The graphic style of the MMORPG is particularly striking. The unique and bizarre enemies, which look like they come straight from the single-player hit Darkest Dungeon, are all hand-drawn, according to the developers.
In the game, you explore this world together with friends and encounter NPCs who have quests for you, telling small or larger stories. There are no classes by the way; instead, you choose your abilities from a complex skill tree and create your own unique hero.
What is a browser MMORPG? The game is based on a self-developed HTML5 engine. Therefore, you do not need a separate client or program to play the game. Instead, you only need a browser to start the game.
The developers have also explained that you can play the game on both PC and mobile devices like phones or tablets.

When does the Alpha start? The Alpha of Mad World starts on October 25 at 3:30 AM (1:30 GMT) and runs until October 31, 2021. So you have about a week to check out the new MMORPG.
