Finally, there is some information about the new DLC for Red Dead Online. It’s called Blood Money, takes you into the criminal underworld of Saint Deni, and brings new heists and loot. MeinMMO summarizes what is known about the DLC so far.
When will Blood Money be released? The first part of the DLC will be released on July 13. Later, additional content is expected to be published. In early June, Rockstar already provided the first hints about the content of the DLC, and now we finally know more.
What kind of DLC is this? Blood Money brings you together with the notorious criminals Guido Martelli and Angelo Bronte. They are looking for gunslingers to carry out jobs for them. These jobs lead to more opportunities to earn money and loot.
This whole thing is called “Crimes and Opportunities” and makes up the majority of the DLC. In addition to the new missions, a new form of Battle Pass called the “Quick Draw Club” will also come into play.

Red Dead Online: Blood Money – Crimes and Opportunities
This is what you can expect: In “Crimes and Opportunities,” the main focus is on retrieving the new currency “Capitale” for your employers. This currency was originally introduced by Martelli to establish an exchange system and avoid tax laws.
This seems to have gotten out of hand, and a large portion of the Capitale is now in the wrong hands. You are to retrieve the Capitale for Bronte and Martelli. If you find Capitale, you will be rewarded by Martelli with criminal “opportunities” that bring you special loot.
How do you obtain Capitale? There are no details about this yet. Apparently, Martelli has entrusted some shady individuals with the location of the currency. You must seek out these contacts. This will unlock the “Crimes,” which will then offer various activities. These include:
- Multi-part heists
- Stagecoach robberies
- Kidnappings
- Debt collections
There are supposed to be more crimes that have not yet been presented. You can complete these crimes alone or with your crew. During missions, you can find Capitale in hidden boxes or the pockets of your victims who stand in your way.
Capitale can also be found in the open world on empty farms and in camps. Once you have collected enough, you will unlock an opportunity.
What is that? Opportunities are likely larger missions that you receive from Martelli. The goal of these opportunities is to stop a rising senator in the state of Lemoyne. He is a thorn in the side of Martelli’s boss, Angelo Bronte, as he influences his activities. Each opportunity offers a different mission type and is designed to undermine the politician’s position.
You will be sneaking, eavesdropping, and finding “the three jewels of the West” to bring to Martelli. However, not all three opportunities will be available at the start of Blood Money. Only the first one will be playable directly on July 13, with the others to follow later.
Quick Draw Club brings 4 new Battle Passes
What is the Quick Draw Club? It consists of four new Battle Passes that are to be released sequentially over the next months. Like before with the Bounty Hunters, there will also be exclusive benefits and rewards for buyers.
How much do the passes cost? You will need to pay 25 gold bars per pass. This amounts to about 10 Euros. You can earn these 25 gold bars back through the 25 ranks. Additionally, you will receive the Halloween Pass #2 for free if you buy all four passes.
This model is already different from the last Battle Pass that RDO introduced at the end of 2020, which faced much criticism.
Returning content and DLSS support
What else is there? Additionally, some pocket and ability pamphlets are returning that were previously available in the Outlaw Pass. This includes, for example, the unlocking of fast travel from the wilderness camp. You will find these items for sale with the update at the fence.
Furthermore, outfits from the Outlaw Passes will return for those who missed them previously. This includes some outfits from the Van der Linde gang:
- Marston’s outfit
- Clelland outfit
- Arthur’s Haraway outfit
- Bill Williamson’s Dedham outfit
- Javier’s Zapatero outfit
Moreover, the update will also introduce DLSS support for Nvidia’s RTX graphics cards in the game. This ensures better frame rates and performance.
What is DLSS? With DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling), lower textures are scaled to higher resolutions. This can improve performance at high resolutions.
There is no more information available with the announcement yet. You can distract yourself with some bonuses while waiting for the DLC release.
Numerous bonuses until the release of Blood Money
This is how your wait will be sweetened: Until release, you have the opportunity to grab various bonuses. These include juicy discounts, bonuses on experience points, and cash prizes.
Here is an overview:
- There are double experience points and RDO dollars in all Showdown modes and in “A Land of Opportunities”.
- Additionally, you will receive a 30% discount on an ability card upgrade if you win a round in any Showdown mode.
- If you complete “Kill Them, One by One” from “A Land of Opportunities”, you will receive a free treasure map.
- If you win a Showdown mode and are a moonshiner with a rank over 100, you will receive a discount of 3 gold bars on a bar decor.
- Players with a rank over 100 will receive a 50% discount on a weapon as a loyalty bonus.
- For modifying a weapon, all players will receive a 40% discount on a revolver plus 200 rounds of express ammunition.
- This week there are also no rank restrictions on weapons and pamphlets from the fence.
How long are these bonuses in the game? They are active until the release of Blood Money on July 13. So if you haven’t played for a while, you might warm up for the DLC.
