With ArcheAge War, a new MMORPG is set to be released in 2023. In the announcement trailer, the developers showcase action-packed battles taking place at sea.
At the beginning of the trailer, numerous ships with similar flags can be seen. One of them is entwined by a giant octopus in the next scene.
Ships with different flags approach, cannons are fired at each other. Ship parts fly around during explosions. Afterwards, you see fights on deck showcasing individual weapons: A warrior attacks with a sword, a warrior woman shoots exploding arrows, the next fights with a spear.
At the end, the fight against the octopus resumes, which opens its gigantic mouth and threatens to swallow a warrior. The trailer promises plenty of excitement.
Below the video, the publisher Kakao Games announces the upcoming pre-registration for ArcheAge War.

What kind of game is this? ArcheAge War is an action-packed MMORPG from Korea, developed by XL Games using Unreal Engine 4.
It takes place in the same universe as the original title ArcheAge but focuses on different content. In ArcheAge War, PvP is at the center: Large battles between players, some of which take place at sea.
There will also be PvE, as evidenced by the fight with the octopus. However, it is said to be more of a secondary aspect.
When is ArcheAge War coming out? The pre-registration in Korea is set to begin next week, with the release planned for the first quarter of 2023. The global version of ArcheAge War is set to follow in the second half of the year. The MMORPG is expected to be released for PC and mobile devices.
