Noah’s Heart is a new MMORPG set to be released for Android, iOS, and PC. The visuals look really impressive in the first trailers. The first closed beta is scheduled to start in December. However, there is a big concern among the trailers, as the developer has a troubled past.
What kind of game is this? Noah’s Heart will be an anime MMORPG with a large, open game world. It is supposed to span an entire planet and have “no borders,” meaning, in this case, loading screens. The developers promise a variety of biomes including deserts, icy landscapes, meadows, and mountains.
Your character can be customized visually according to your wishes and is not bound to a class. Instead, you have the choice of 4 different weapons:
- Sword and Shield
- Dual Blade
- Bow
- Staff / Spear
However, you don’t have to specialize in one weapon, but should be able to constantly switch between them.
Another highlight is supposed to be the story, where every decision is meant to have consequences. For example, if you let an NPC die, you won’t see them again in the future. The game is supposed to offer different endings in quest lines, based on your choices.
Otherwise, there is still relatively little information about the game. The official website only features images of the 3 crafting disciplines: Tailoring, Blacksmith, and Cooking.
However, the graphics look really convincing. In a new trailer released on December 5, you can see many gameplay scenes that make a really nice impression. The game is being developed in Unreal Engine 4.
What can you see in the video? In the video, you see the various biomes and, above all, different modes of transport, including a train, mounts, ships, motorcycles, and a combination of a Zeppelin and a helicopter. A grappling hook is also seen in another trailer.
Additionally, after the first approximately 50 seconds, there are some combat scenes against a large robot and other monsters to admire. Other players are also visible repeatedly. The developers emphasize that all content consists of in-game scenes.
Due to the promised variety in the story and graphics, we at MeinMMO compared the game in 2020 to a “Sword Art” MMORPG.
The developer is known for innovative ideas, but also for Pay2Win
Who is behind the game? The company behind Noah’s Heart is Archosaur Games, formerly known as Zulong. It is a Chinese company that has already brought the mobile MMORPG Dragon Raja to the West.
Dragon Raja is a modern MMORPG and also places a strong focus on the story. Here too, you could make various decisions. There were also dungeons, raids, PvP battlegrounds, and “hobbies” as a fun side mechanic. For example, you could become a journalist or a dancer.
How is Dragon Raja received? Dragon Raja was well received in the West and is also part of our list of the best MMORPGs for Android and iOS. In the Play Store, it has 4.5 out of 5 stars, and in the App Store, even 4.7 out of 5.
However, many view the game as having a catch: Pay2Win. Because real money seems to play a role especially when you want to keep up in PvP. You can improve your equipment for real money, acquire better pets, sign up for an optional subscription, and buy season passes with bonuses in the game.
Some users on YouTube fear something similar for Noah’s Heart as well.
Noah’s Heart starts beta in December
What have the developers revealed about the beta? From December 20 to December 26, at 5:00 PM each day, Noah’s Heart will hold its first closed beta. You can register in advance on the website (via Noah’s Heart).
There are different options for registration, allowing you to sign up as a “normal player,” “guild leader,” or “content creator.” There is no guaranteed access through a paid package (such as founder packages).
When will Noah’s Heart be released? This is still not known. After the beta for Dragon Raja, however, it only took a few weeks until the release in the West.
It is still unclear when the game will be released on PC. It took about half a year for Dragon Raja.
