Neverwinter fans experiencing adventures on the Xbox One are a bit behind with the release of the add-ons. However, the release date for the expansion “Elemental Evil” has now been announced.
“Elemental Evil” introduces a series of innovations to the MMORPG Neverwinter. What they are can be seen here:
- Maximum level raised from 60 to 70
- The playable class – Oathbound Paladin
- Eight new adventure zones
- Icewind Dale
- Sharandar
- The Ring of Horrors
- Malabog’s Keep, Valindra’s Tower, and Kessel’s Refuge.
- Minsk & Boo assist the adventurers in fighting against the Cult of the Elemental Evil
- Increased maximum quality tiers for companions from epic to legendary
- Maximum level raised for all professions
- Changes to the kick voting
- Achievements have been revised
Controversial Add-on
The expansion unites the contents of the PC modules Fury of the Feywild, Shadowmantle, Curse of Icewind Dale, and Elemental Evil. The latter led to some controversial discussions on PC, partly due to the fact that many elements from the other expansions and the main game were copied, and the heroes had to fight through much of the already known content again. However, the developers improved many aspects that were criticized and promised improvements for upcoming add-ons. For Xbox players, “Elemental Evil” is still interesting because the story of the main game continues, and players encounter the hero Minsc and his hamster Boo, who are already known from the cult RPGs of the Baldur’s Gate series.
“Neverwinter: Elemental Evil brings a lot of innovations for the Xbox One version, which we released in March,” said Executive Producer Rob Overmeyer. “As our community on consoles continues to grow, we have released new content over the last six months amounting to six expansions full of new dungeons and heroic encounters with dragons. Our team is excited about the ongoing support for the game and can’t wait to give players on Xbox One access to their own fortress with our next content expansion later this year.”
