The action MMORPG Neverwinter significantly reduces the difficulty level, lowers the hit points of enemies, and increases the experience gain for players. This aims to further improve the botched module Elemental Evil.

Last week, there was a dev blog at Neverwinter, where they launched the major Strongholds add-on live and are now addressing the ongoing challenge: to rectify the damages that Elemental Evil caused in April.
Players find the endgame too difficult since Elemental Evil, the previous module, went live. Since then, a new lead designer has taken the helm, apologized for the low quality, and promised changes.
As another problem area, the difficulty level has been identified, therefore:
- monsters between levels 61 and 70 lose their 50% hit point bonus
- the damage from monsters above level 61 decreases
- more experience points are available in the zones of Elemental Evil
- collecting tasks now only require half as many quests as before
The changes are expected to go live on Xbox One with the next update (which brings Elemental Evil and other modules), while for PC they are to take effect “soon”.
