In Neverwinter, the residents celebrate the Winter Festival during Christmas time. And yes, I find this phrasing in a city called NEVERWINTER quite bizarre as well. However, strictly speaking, the Winter Festival event does not take place in the year-round ice and snow-free city of Neverwinter, but in the village of “Twilight Hills”.
Sledding, Fishing, and Killing Monsters!
In Twilight Hills, winter is still a real winter, complete with ice and snow. Therefore, the people there can celebrate the Winter Festival without logical confusions and offer fun winter events. For example, there is a sledding track where fun sled races take place. Those who prefer a cozy time can cut a hole in the ice and fish for a Christmas carp. Those with a martial mindset go hunting for monsters lurking in the surrounding area.
All these activities grant you tokens that you can exchange for special festival rewards. Additionally, there is a literally cool throne made of ice in the Lucky Star shop. The Winter Festival event in Neverwinter runs from December 15, 2016, to January 5, 2017.
