Today is the day: The latest module “The Maze Engine” is ready for the MMORPG Neverwinter.
With “The Maze Engine,” the story from the previous module “Underdark” continues. Baphomet, the Prince of Beasts, is in search of the Labyrinth Engine, with which one can change reality. With this machine, he intends to destroy Neverwinter. Together with well-known heroes, including Drizzt Do’Urden, Minsk, Linu, and Makos, you set out to stop the demon lord.
The maintenance work on Neverwinter is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM and last until around 6:00 PM. Then “The Maze Engine” will be playable on PC.
Continuation of the story and many innovations
“The Maze Engine” offers you a series of story quests as well as repeatable tasks. In addition, you can visit four familiar dungeons in a new guise. These include Castle Never, where the powerful Orcus, the demon prince of undeath, has made his lair. You will face many challenges to bring the story to a good conclusion.
The new module will also bring a number of further innovations. Including a revamped mount system, where you can give your favorite mount the abilities of the best steed from your collection. This way, you don’t have to ride the animal that has the best stats but may not be to your liking. The new matchmaking system allows you to find a suitable group even easier and better to face the dangers together.

The Foundry Editor will not be expanded for now
It is a bit unfortunate that the developers have stated that they currently have no further plans for the Foundry Editor. This is simply due to it being used by too few players, making it not worth the extra effort at this time. Foundry has a dedicated fanbase, but it could not reach the larger player mass.
Will you dive into the new adventures of the Neverwinter module “The Maze Engine” today? Owners of the Xbox One version will have to wait a bit longer for the module’s release. A date has not yet been set.
