The May 13, 2014 is approaching – and with it, the excitement rises among all fans of the online role-playing game Neverwinter. Even I have a red circle around the date on my calendar! But the closer the date gets, the greater the curiosity: What new things will there be in Module 3 Curse of Icewind Dale? We already gave you a rough overview of the new content during the publication of the release date.
As previously mentioned, the next expansion revolves around the magical black ice. To obtain the hot merchandise, it is advisable to sign a mercenary contract with the Ten-Towners or the Arcane Brotherhood. But what distinguishes the two groups?
The Ten-Towners believe that the profits from the Black Ice belong to those who have mastered the harsh life in the cold lands of the North. The Arcane Brotherhood, on the other hand, strives to improve its reputation and wishes to study the Black Ice to expand knowledge.
But good intentions mean nothing if no one acts on them – and that’s where you come in! Choose one of the two sides and fight for the coveted resource that can bring you corruption or power. Depending on which path you choose, you will wear the symbol of the faction – hopefully with pride. In both cases, in addition to harvesting the black ice, it will be your task to purify the corrupted creatures of the Dwarven Valley and Icewind Pass.
However, should you find that you no longer align with the goals of the Ten-Towners or the Arcane Brotherhood, you can cancel the contract at any time, but not on the same day, and switch to the opposing faction.
All the experiences you can have on your exciting adventures in Neverwinter will finally be collectable in an Account Bank. This way, you can easily transfer items between your characters without relying on a mailbox.
