Today, publisher Perfect World and Cryptic release the fifth expansion Rise of Tiamat for the action MMORPG Neverwinter.
Rise of Tiamat directly follows the events of the fourth module Tyranny of Dragons and the siege of Neverwinter and represents the finale of the Season of Dragons.
The Dragon Queen Tiamat has been summoned from the “Nine Hells” and now threatens the world of Faerûn. Brave adventurers can now explore the new adventure zone Dragon’s Rest, which has been taken over by the Cult of the Dragon. You can also join together in a new instance with up to 25 players to heat things up against Tiamat.
New Path for Warlocks
In addition to the fundamental revisions of the classes Devout Cleric and Trickster Rogue, Warlocks can choose the new Paragon Path of the Soulbinder. This gives the Warlock the ability to siphon life energy from enemies and deal more damage.
The Jewel Cutter Arrives
From now on, diligent crafters can learn the profession of Jewel Cutter. This fills an important gap in the production of equipment items, as until now, one could only craft weapons and armor in Neverwinter. The powerful jewels now improve your stamina, regeneration, or action points. Players in the higher level range can also find a new task starting today in collecting the new artifact gear – there are four different slots on the character for this: neck, waist, sword hand, and shield hand.
