Perfect World and Cryptic Studios have announced a new adventure module for the MMORPG Neverwinter called “The Cloaked Ascendancy.” The release date is now known.
“The Cloaked Ascendancy” is the expansion that was teased at the end of last year and will lead you back to the city of Neverwinter.
After the adventures from “Storm King’s Thunder,” you wish to honor a fallen friend in Neverwinter. However, Gyrion the Ascendant and other wizards of the Mantle Tower are preparing to seize power in the city. Under the name “Cloaked Ascendancy,” the wizards plan to unleash their great magical power in Neverwinter!
A new zone in a familiar city
Although you return to Neverwinter, you will encounter a new adventure zone in the River District. There, you will try to uncover the dark plans of the wizards before ultimately attempting to defeat them in battle. The River District was one of the wealthiest areas of the city before the Spellplague, and Lord Neverember wants to restore the area to its former glory. Therefore, you must also secure the riches that still exist in the River District.
Old becomes new – release date of the new expansion known
“The Cloaked Ascendancy” will also introduce you to a revamped version of the Spellplague Caverns, which you can now complete on the “Master” difficulty level. New monsters and other bosses await you there. In addition to the new adventures, you can also look forward to further powerful artifact weapons.
“The Cloaked Ascendancy” will be released on February 21 for the PC version of the MMORPG Neverwinter. Owners of an Xbox One or Playstation will have to wait a little longer as usual.
