A change to Neverwinter that was introduced with the release of the module Storm King’s Thunder is not sitting well with the fans.
In the game, players have the option to call upon their deity from time to time. This has brought players some Astral Diamonds. Many have done this, logged in, called upon the god, and simply logged out again. Cryptic Studios wanted to prevent this and introduced that calling the gods will no longer grant Astral Diamonds. Instead, it only increases the chance of finding the diamonds.
The players are upset
This, of course, does upset some players. It is believed that this was introduced to force players to buy Astral Diamonds. Others, however, welcome this change, as players now really have to play to find the diamonds. After all, that is the point of Neverwinter, to play and not just log in and out.
The big question now is how restricted players will be. Astral Diamonds bring some relief, but they are not actually necessary to have fun in the game. Power gamers may see it differently. What is your opinion on this?
