The developer Netmarble plans to release the mobile game Blade and Soul: Revolution and shows plenty of video material. The game is set to go online on December 6 in South Korea.
What is Blade and Soul: Revolution? B&S: Revolution is a spin-off of the Korean MMORPG by NCsoft. The story of the mobile game follows in the footsteps of Blade and Soul. Players will experience the conflict over Jinsoyun and the legendary sword “Twilight’s Blade” on their smartphones.
After their previous game Lineage 2: Revolution became a huge success, Netmarble wants to build on this experience and further enhance B&S: Revolution. The developer has also announced that the game will utilize Unreal Engine 4.

What does the gameplay look like? According to Netmarble, many key elements from the PC version of Blade and Soul will also be present in the mobile version. These include:
- Five “massive zones” that players can explore
- Sprinting and gliding
- Over 150 cinematic videos that will be fully synchronized to convey a better storytelling experience
- 500 vs. 500 clan battles with turrets and watchtowers that are meant to bring more strategy into the game
What races and classes will be available? All four known races from the MMORPG will be playable in the mobile version. However, the selection of playable classes will initially be limited to the following at launch.
- Jin: Blade Master and Kung Fu Master
- Gon: Destroyer
- Yun: Blade Master and Kung Fu Master
- Lyn: Machinist (or Force Master)
Will Blade and Soul: Revolution also come to the West? No official announcement from Netmarble regarding the Western release has been made yet. However, it is certain that their previous mobile game Lineage 2: Revolution also released in the West. So Blade and Soul: Revolution has a good chance of appearing in Europe as well.
