In a live stream, developer Bioware showcased new gameplay from the online shooter Anthem. The gameplay focused on the two classes Storm and Interceptor. We summarize the scenes shown for you.
Today, on November 1st, the live stream for Anthem took place. Fans eagerly awaited new gameplay scenes. A short live stream had already occurred recently, where super-attacks were revealed for the first time.
In the new stream, Bioware employees Mark Gamble and Ben Irving went out together and showcased World Events that appear in the game world. Gamble played with the Storm Javelin, while Irving used the Interceptor.

Live stream provides insights into World Events
What was shown: The duo flew through the game world and encountered a World Event. These events are random and can appear anywhere. In the first event, the task was to collect signals and defend a spot. They were repeatedly attacked by waves of enemies.
In this case, everything was shown from the Storm’s perspective. This Javelin suit utilizes elemental attacks and has more of a supportive function. It usually hovers over the battlefield.
The two defended themselves through their different skills. The Storm can fire a kind of light ball that ricochets off walls and penetrates enemies.
Another ability of the Storm is a kind of barrier that can be set up. Enemies can pass through it, but cannot shoot.

For the first time, the Storm’s super attack was also revealed.
Through the Storm’s super, the suit can rain down meteor-like bursts of lightning energy on enemies, causing massive area damage.
The Interceptor’s super attack was also utilized. It makes the player invulnerable for a short time and allows for significantly increased damage in melee. The Interceptor is something like the melee class in Anthem.
Until now, much was known about the two Javelin suits Colossus and Ranger, but very little about Interceptor and Storm. That has changed today.

Hostile faction also uses Javelins
Which faction is it? The so-called “Dominion” is a particularly tricky opponent. They have access to Storm suits and can freeze players with ice attacks.
The Dominions also include frost dogs, which also deal ice damage. Thus, it is confirmed that enemies also possess elemental attacks.
Whether other factions also have access to other Javelin types is not known.

A first look at cosmetic items
How do cosmetics work in Anthem? For the first time, it was also shown how to visually customize Javelins. There are
- skins for every part of the suit
- material,
- color,
- and patterns can be changed.
You can unlock cosmetic items in the game or purchase them with real money.
In the coming months, they plan to focus more on elements such as gear, skills, and event types.
