Battle Royale in Small, Warzone in Large
What is it about? World War 3 immerses you, as the name suggests, in the Third World War. Here you fight with modern warfare equipment, use vehicles and drones to gain dominance. Furthermore, you are supposed to fight for “national pride”, which sounds a bit strange. Additionally, the team aims to pursue a realistic approach. Bullets and their impact on armor should be authentically integrated into the game.
A small Battle Royale mode. World War 3 does not aim to escalate the popular mode into something even bigger like other titles, with larger maps and even more room for many players. Instead, they scale everything down in the mode called Recon to provide an intense gaming experience. You are part of a small reconnaissance group and are supposed to capture specific objectives in enemy territory. Nevertheless, the Battle Royale feeling familiar from PUBG and Fortnite is intended to emerge.
The Warzone mode offers large battles. If you value larger skirmishes and want to experience real battles, then the Warzone mode might be more for you. The game feeling is supposed to be somewhat oriented towards Battlefield. You are navigating in cities like Berlin, Warsaw, or Moscow and use a tactical map to conquer the map. For this, you utilize vehicles and must coordinate well within the group. Sophisticated strategies are important to gradually capture the zones and decide the war in your favor.
Early Access still in 2018. Later this year, World War 3 will enter an early access phase via Steam. The developers plan to announce a specific date soon. They explain that they want to develop their game together with the community, which is why early feedback is very important. Further details about the shooter will surely follow soon.
