Season 3 of Fallout is currently in production and new images from the set have surfaced. They hint that a faction of the Brotherhood of Steel may make its first appearance in the series.
The filming of Fallout Season 3 is in full swing. While we still don’t know when the continuation of the successful series will be released on Amazon Prime Video, there are at least new images from the set.
They made the rounds through a Reddit post by the user weezerfan53 and immediately sparked speculation. The locations are part of the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles.
In addition to bookshelves, columns, and a beautifully decorated ceiling, a large banner catches the eye. It displays the insignia of the Brotherhood of Steel, with a book and quill depicted beneath it. The latter is a clear hint to fans about who will be appearing in the series.
Season 3 does not yet have a trailer, but you can get an impression of the series from the preview of Season 2:
Knowledge is Power
Who could it be? While it is not confirmed, some fans believe that Season 3 will feature the Order of the Quill, which is a department of the Brotherhood of Steel that focuses on collecting knowledge in various forms.
The Order gathers data and archives it, scours the wasteland for holotapes or books to preserve the knowledge within, and generally ensures that the activities of the Brotherhood of Steel are recorded.
It seems fitting that the Order of the Quill resides in a building that looks like a giant library or an old museum. The Order of the Quill is actually part of a trio. In addition, the Order of the Sword deals with weapons, and the Order of the Shield handles defense. Together they secure the knowledge and thereby the power of the Brotherhood of Steel.
The new photos from the set are already causing excitement among fans on Reddit:
- „If this is indeed the case, then the writers have really dug deep into the backstory because this is a really obscure piece of information about the Brotherhood of Steel,” says Soyunapina12.
- „Wow, this is really cool. It’s probably the Brotherhood. I wonder what they are up to,” writes Secure-Bear4184.
- „I suspect that this will be a new chapter focusing more on books than on pure technology,” speculates pacman1138.
- „They will rebuild Liberty Prime. The writers are working on acquiring the blueprints,” suspects TemporalFugue2.
How significant the role of the Order will actually be remains to be seen. First trailers and official information may shed light on this.
