The strongest character is a familiar sight in manga and anime, but who the strongest is remains an eternal topic. When we search for the strongest anime characters, we usually think of Goku, Naruto, and Luffy. However, none of them has reached the first place in a ranking.
Where do the data come from? Goo Ranking is one of the most reputable polling sites in Japan and deals with anime, among other things. In a recent survey, users were asked which anime character is likely the strongest.
A total of just over 15,000 Japanese participants took part in the survey, and just over 50,000 votes were cast. Votes were allowed for a total of 41 individuals.
The site operators themselves asked the participants:
If we include the strongest protagonists from the recently popular series “Narokei” and “Ore TUEEE” as well as the last boss characters of famous works, who then is the strongest in all these cases? Which character do you think is the strongest?
Note: The list was created by voting, so you certainly won’t agree with all the results.
It also doesn’t matter if a character is a villain or a superhero.
“One-Punch Man” tops the list of the strongest characters
So who is the strongest now? According to the survey results, Saitama, the protagonist of One-Punch Man, is at the top of the list. He is considered the strongest hero in the world, capable of defeating any opponent with just one punch. Saitama is a bald man with a muscular build. The anime has been around since 2015, while the webcomic has existed since 2009.
Where have Luffy, Goku, and others gone? Son Goku made it to 6th place, while Luffy had to settle for 11th place. Naruto at least achieved 17th place. The biggest surprise is probably that Ash Ketchum from Pokémon made it to 32nd place.

How was the list created? The developers of the list state themselves: “The strongest characters with abilities that are simply too strong, such as high combat skills, invincibility, and imperviousness.”
In the One Piece manga, a fight of superlatives is currently beginning. Luffy is up against powerful opponents, for whom the creator of the manga even planned a complete double page. This honor has been given recently to some of Luffy’s allies.
