The quarterly report for Q3 2016 from NCSoft has recently been published and generally shows not particularly good numbers for the games of the Korean publisher. Especially troubled Wildstar is facing problems again and has recorded its lowest point of the year so far.
Once again, it is time for a quarterly report from MMO publisher NCSoft, and the current numbers for Q3 2016 are not necessarily what the Koreans had hoped for. Almost all the publisher’s games have recorded declining numbers to some extent.
Wildstar worse than ever
WildStar has particularly suffered once again. The colorful troubled MMO is facing revenues worth 1.097 million Korean Won, worse than ever before this year. The game recorded comparatively good revenues of 2.203 million Won in the second quarter of 2016. Guild Wars 2 remained relatively stable compared to Q2 2016, but had to accept losses compared to the previous year.
Only Blade & Soul is doing well overall, as although revenues in the West have decreased this year, the game is performing better than last year due to the Western release. The remaining IPs from NCSoft, such as Lineage or Aion, remained relatively stable but recorded slight losses in revenues.
