Just a few days ago, Bashiok announced that he is leaving Blizzard and will no longer be the Community Manager of World of Warcraft. Now we know about his new workplace …
Exchange of Known People
Just as Stephan Frost, the former human figurehead of WildStar, has switched to Blizzard, the opposite is now also true. The former Community Manager of World of Warcraft, Micah Whipple, better known as Bashiok, had his last working day at Blizzard on July 31 after nearly 12 years. Yesterday, a tweet revealed where he will be working in the future: at NCSoft as the new Senior Content Manager! Maybe he can succeed in saving WildStar from its long-standing negative spiral. Just the fact of his switch already gives the game some plus points in the community.
Bashiok was for a long time the voice of Blizzard as Community Manager and has even been immortalized in some places in the game. For example, a rare mob in Gorgrond bears his name and the toy “Spirit of Bashiok” is modeled after him and his forum avatar.
