In Pokémon GO there is currently a lot of stress about the daily spawn. A bug stole your Shinys. Niantic is now reacting and temporarily disabling the feature.
This is the feature: For a few days now, all players worldwide can benefit from a daily spawn. This then appears on your map and has a white circle around it. Even one of the rarest Pokémon in the game can be caught as a result.
However, there are problems with the mechanics, and they are so severe that Niantic is temporarily disabling the feature.
Bug steals your Shinys – What is going on?
What kind of bug is this? Players have reported that the Shinys from guaranteed spawns do not stay Shiny at all. You click on a Pokémon from the spawn and it becomes Shiny. When you catch it, you only have the normal version in the box, and the Shiny is gone.
However, only the guaranteed spawns are affected. If you catch a Shiny normally in the wild, it will remain shiny.
How is Niantic responding? The developers have reacted quickly and have taken the feature offline completely. Since about 9 AM, you can no longer catch a Pokémon through this feature.
This will most likely fix the bug so that in the future the Shinys from this spawn actually remain shiny.
How did this even come to light? The reason is numerous trainers on reddit. There were increasing reports that your Shiny suddenly were no longer Shinys after being caught.
If you currently have to do without the daily catch, you can get it back another way. Daily Rocket balloons appear at your home, and you can battle them to obtain Shadow Pokémon. Even Jessie and James are involved.
