In Fortnite: Battle Royale, players on the Nintendo Switch haven’t had much fun lately. A bug caused them to fall helplessly from the sky and become easy targets for other mobile players.
What happened? Recently, there have been numerous reports and videos showing players falling in droves from the sky at the end of the Battle Bus’s flight path and then standing helplessly after landing until other players or the storm eliminated them.
The unfortunate players were exclusively users of the Nintendo Switch. A bug recently caused the controls to fail, and the players could do nothing.
Instead, they had to watch helplessly as their avatars automatically exited the plane at the end of the flight time and landed, where ultimately they all met their demise.
Players on Switch dissatisfied despite fix
What is the bug about? The issue with the disabled controls seems to be unique to the Switch and likely relates to the controller support of the Nintendo console.
Somehow, it seems to block the controller when playing on the mobile device playlist typical for Switch. However, the bug has now been fixed, and the game can be controlled normally again.
This is how the community reacts: Nonetheless, players on the Switch are still not happy with Fortnite. The game runs rather sluggishly at a maximum of 30 FPS, and the Switch is too weak to deliver the game properly. On Reddit, complaints are piling up:

- “How can Epic allow this? What the hell?!”
- “Epic, can you please fix the FPS on the Switch? Oh, dear God, please!”
It seems like Fortnite fans on the Switch are currently not having much fun in the game, and Epic should quickly address the technical issues. According to fans, it works well with other games on the Switch, so why not with Fortnite?
