After more than a year of silence, there are now new indications that the publisher Nexon is still working on the Western release of the Asia MMORPG Moonlight Blade. This means the new MMORPG could also come to Germany and Europe.
Moonlight Blade is a classic MMORPG in a Wuxia setting, which adds additional strategic elements to the combat system of martial arts games such as breath control or inner peace.
The game also features a battle royale mode.
Signs of Life After Long Silence
1.5 years of silence regarding the EU servers: In January 2017, Nexon announced in a video that Moonlight Blade would be available in Europe and America in the future.
Many of the features announced in the video have already been released in the Chinese version, such as the new job Yihua.
However, despite the sparse information about the Western release, it still seems to remain on Nexon’s “To Do” list.
Insights from the financial report to investors: In the report to investors, the publisher Nexon also provided an outlook on the company’s activities and plans.
In the table of game releases in various countries, Moonlight Blade can be found under “North America and Rest of the World”:
So one can assume that work is still being done on a Western release, albeit likely at a slow pace.
However, it is not surprising that Nexon is not in a hurry with a Western release of Moonlight Blade, as the majority of Nexon’s revenues come from Chinese and Korean regions.
