What is this about? MMORPGs often give us the option to take on the role of a hero. Whether a chosen one or just a random adventurer, we are at the center of the story, experiencing adventures and saving the world at the end of the day.
But what if instead we were just regular NPCs? MMORPG worlds are inhabited by many different characters, each with their own tasks, no matter how small or insignificant they may be. Without them, something would just be missing in the games.
