Christmas has just passed and the next festivities are already on the horizon. New Year’s Eve means not only fireworks, sparkling wine, and fondue, but also a step into the new year; the transition to a new chapter. We want to know from you: What do you wish for the gaming year 2018?
Especially with MMOs, the transition to a new year is fluid: You just log back in and continue playing. But maybe you are waiting for a specific DLC? Are you looking forward to another social guild year or hoping that the gaming landscape changes a bit here and there?
Hoping for Better Times
Are you dissatisfied with the current situation and wish for a change in that regard? Be it loot boxes, bugs, or just your own bad luck? It’s possible that you are plagued by loot misfortune and are now waiting for better times.
A new DLC can promise improvement, at least a change, which in turn means transformation. Are you waiting for a very specific expansion or a new MMO altogether?
For me, the turn of the year is always a reason to watch the trailers of upcoming games again and stir up anticipation! Currently, this is especially true for Sea of Thieves.
Refining Your Own Style
Sometimes it’s yourself who stands in the way. Surely everyone has made resolutions for the coming year. In the gaming field, it can mean not getting so worked up anymore, helping teammates more often instead of insulting them, or simply playing more focused.
I myself often have to face this. I tend to rage quit – which simply shouldn’t happen. How relaxed would my gaming year be if I didn’t always act like an “Angry German Kid”? Very relaxed, I tell you!
