In our today’s “Mein-MMO asks” we want to focus on the shared-world shooter The Division. How do you like Ubisoft’s latest title so far?
Currently, the gaming scene is all about The Division, whose launch was just a few days ago. Since then, we have been trying to quench the players’ thirst for knowledge with a variety of guides and news. New impressions are coming at the players fast.
In this “Mein-MMO asks” we now want to calm down a bit and discuss with you how you like the game so far.
What have you found positive so far?
Before you have to read a questionable critique from a Mein-MMO author, we thought we would just ask you how The Division is received by the agents. I must admit, though, that I myself have not yet reached the max level 30. I waste way too much time taking everything in slowly and immersing myself in every detail of the game.
Perhaps I am a bit old-fashioned, but it’s more likely that a camel passes through the eye of a needle than I would rush through the story in a day. Given the numerous agents already proudly displaying their max-level characters and receiving astonished looks, I probably still belong to the few enjoyers out there. And I think there’s a lot to enjoy in The Division.
One thing that stands out to me positively is the attention to detail. I really often stop and examine some stickers, piles of garbage, signs, shop windows, and especially the graffiti that is scattered throughout New York.
With the gameplay of the “cover shooter” I am now also getting along. I have now set aside my initial skepticism on this matter; until now, I was rather used to first-person shooters. But looking at the action from the “third perspective” definitely has its appeal – how long that lasts remains to be seen.
But enough about me, what positive aspects have you noticed? How do you find the story, and if you have already been in the Dark Zone, how do you find the PvP area of the full version?
What have you found negative so far?
Unfortunately, I have to say that my journey started off quite bumpy. I had to count myself among the poor agents who had already failed at the activation in the safehouse in Brooklyn. Since this problem was only solved after a long time, my mood was directly dampened. Otherwise, I wouldn’t want to complain further. From time to time, I had a kick from the servers, which was fixed by logging back in. But fundamentally, I am looking forward to my continued journey as an agent in post-apocalyptic New York. I am steadily getting closer to max level 30 – slowly but surely.
What criticisms can you raise against the game so far? Are you already engaged in endgame activities?
