For about 11 days now, Overwatch has been available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Many of our readers are enjoying Blizzard’s first venture into the world of shooters. They are diligently scoring headshots with the sexy sniper Widowmaker, pushing payloads with Reinhardt, and letting the healing effects of music resonate with Lúcio. Now that the initial “launch hype” has died down, it’s time for a new round of questions: How do you like Overwatch? Are you still excited about the game? Cortyn says: Anything other than “Overwatch has completely captivated me” would be a lie. Blizzard has once again succeeded in creating a game that (with very few exceptions) appeals to all my friends. Whether they are a “Counter Strike: Global Offensive” fanatic or a casual “Europa Universalis” player, Overwatch is fun for player types of all kinds – at least in my circle.
In recent days, I have spent way too much time in the game and even neglected my RP a little – after all, I can justify that to my own conscience with “I’m basically researching for work.” Whether we are trying seriously to win a round or just unleashing total chaos with 6 Zaryas, starting a big “Power Rangers” party with 5 D.Vas in different colors – it’s enjoyable. As long as we play in a group, Overwatch is exactly what we have been wishing for. Pure fun.
Or to put it in the words of a good friend: “These are the golden days of Overwatch that we will remember later. When we played together with 6 people and were all in the same game together.”
Yes, such events have become rare. And yet, precisely because of this, Overwatch is definitely worth its money, as it brings everyone back together and has already created beautiful memories.
