For me, Hot Wheels Unleashed has become my favorite racing game in recent years. Hardly any game in this genre can I play for hours with my girlfriend without getting bored.
I love that the little cars look realistic, that everything feels so real as if someone really built a giant racetrack on a skyscraper, and that the cars actually get scratches when you have accidents. So many little details make the game a hit for me. I keep discovering new little things that simply bring me joy.
Even the accidents are more fun than frustrating in this game. When you get thrown around or see your opponent fly out of the corner of your eye, it always brings a smile to my face.
Additionally, Hot Wheels Unleashed really offers fast-paced and fun gameplay. So much so that I always feel like other racing games are just somehow slow in comparison.
