The last cinema movie that was released about One Piece was One Piece Film: Red. MyMMO editor Jasmin Beverungen liked the movie so much that she saw it in theaters twice. However, both times there was an incident, even at the same spot.
In the meantime, preparations for all the concerts I want to attend this year are complete. The tickets are secured and the hotels for the respective locations are booked. One of the concerts I plan to attend this year is Ado’s 2nd world tour.
The 23-year-old Japanese woman is a true exceptional talent. She is known for the versatility of her vocal range. In public, she never shows what she looks like. Instead, she darkens her silhouette. Nevertheless, her first world tour was completely sold out.
The international breakthrough came when she lent her singing voice to Uta in the movie One Piece Film: Red. I also became a fan only when I was able to hear her sing in the theater. However, while planning for the concert visit, an unpleasant situation came to my mind that I had to witness twice in the cinema.

It got heated in the cinema at the same spot
The latest One Piece movie is something very special. I have seen it twice because it was released in France about a month before the German release date, but I cannot speak French. So at least I had already seen the pictures without knowing what it was about. Well, what wouldn’t a fan do?
The focus of One Piece Film: Red is on the story with Uta, Shanks’ adopted daughter. Uta is a singer who wants to end the suffering of people. To do this, she uses her singing to draw them into a dream world.
It’s little surprising that there are many songs in the cinema movie. This comes at the expense of comedy and action-packed brawls that are more common in other films. Uta is almost always in the spotlight and steals the show from everyone else.
Towards the end of the film, she starts a rather sad farewell song. Ideally, the moment should touch the audience, but at that moment, the frustration of the viewers, which had built up throughout the film, seems to have been released. And believe me, although I don’t speak French, the language of rejection is universally understandable.
Suddenly, people in both cinema halls started to boo. Some viewers were heard loudly sighing, while others just had to laugh. In the middle of that, I heard an angry outburst, probably annoyed that there was still a song towards the end.
So yes, the songs really occur quite often. Out of the 1 hour and 55 minutes runtime, around half an hour consists of songs. However, it was made clear beforehand regarding the storyline that Luffy and his friends are attending a concert by Uta, which is inevitably related to music.
This is unfortunately also reflected in the ratings. Film: Red lands rather in the middle on IMDb, when looking at the ranking of all One Piece films. Nevertheless, it counts among my favorite films, especially because Ado delivers such a great performance.
I was not bothered by the songs, because not every One Piece movie needs groundbreaking fights or funny scenes. Through this, I discovered one of my favorite singers, who delivers banger after banger. Therefore, I am already looking forward to waving the glow sticks in the air and listening to Ado.
