MultiVersus is a free-to-play brawler that lets characters from the “Warner Brothers” universe fight against each other in colorful battles. MeinMMO has looked at all the characters, examined their strengths and weaknesses, and compiled a tier list of the best fighters.
How did this tier list come about? To deliver you the best fighters from MultiVersus, we look at current trends from players and professionals and mix that with a dose of our own experience.
We split our tier list into five sections:
For the 2vs2 list, we want to restructure and suggest stronger duos instead of individual fighters. We are still working on a revision.
Update, August 16: Season 1 is live and brought changes for all fighters. As soon as it is clear how the changes affect the game, we will update our tier list.
Every player perceives the fighters differently, prefers certain playstyles, or may not connect with a character at all. Therefore, view our tier list more as a recommendation and not as fixed fighters that must be present in every match.
Whenever there are balance changes in MultiVersus or new characters, we will adjust our list and keep you regularly updated.
Street Fighter 5 was his entry into the genre in 2016, and he trained hundreds of hours with his arcade stick until the combos finally landed. For a while, he lost interest, but with MultiVersus, he returns to fighting games and particularly likes to use the DC heroes to “smash” his opponents.

MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 1vs1
- Finn – Assassin
The character from “Adventure Time” wreaks havoc in Season 1 through the arenas of MultiVersus. His attacks have huge hitboxes, allowing for easy hits, and he has strong smash attacks both up and down.
Additionally, he has his crazy coin shop through which Finn can acquire advantages, a good pace in combat, and strong attack chains. Overall good, easy to learn, hard to master.
- Bugs Bunny – Mage
The classic character from Warner Brothers was considered the over-fighter in the early days after release, and a nerf has already been announced. Mages are generally considered very strong, but also harder to master.
But Bugs makes it easy for you, as he offers strong close combat attacks with large hitboxes and can cause a lot of chaos and damage with his special attacks, knocking enemies out of the picture in seconds.
- Arya Stark – Assassin
Arya is striving for greater things following the changes in Season 1 and is a very nimble fighter with a brutal side special attack. This allows for an additional charged strike after a hit.
Moreover, Arya’s moves are easy to connect. New combinations can always be found, making her playstyle hard to predict if you have a few combos down.
MultiVersus: Tier List – 2vs2
- S-Tier
- Finn, Batman, Bugs Bunny
- A-Tier
- Harley Quinn, Tom & Jerry, Jake, Superman, Velma, Wonder Woman, Arya Stark
- B-Tier
- Dog, Steven Universe, Shaggy, LeBron, Taz
- C-Tier
- Garnet, Giant from space
MultiVersus: S-Tier – Best Fighters in 2vs2
- Finn – Assassin
The swordsman rocks in the team playlist too. His speed and large hitboxes help protect your teammates while dealing a lot of damage.
With his shop ability, you can also adapt your playstyle during the match and adjust even better to teammates and opponents. Right now, Finn is super strong and has virtually no downsides.
- Bugs Bunny – Mage
Bugs also annoys in team battles and drives your opponents to despair – if you can handle his tools. With his ACME magic, you constantly spread some nonsense on the battlefield and opponents are always at risk of taking a hard, unexpected hit.
In addition, his strength in close combat makes the mage Bugs Bunny an all-rounder who is capable of handling any task in the right hands.
- Batman – Bruiser
Batman scores in team battles with his speed and can switch sides of the arena in the blink of an eye. This allows you to focus on the enemy fighter who actually doesn’t want to engage in close combat.
If you can use Batman’s insane speed to throw off opponents, your teammate has enough space to deal a lot of damage.
MultiVersus: How does the tier list work?
In our tier list, we rank the fighters from MultiVersus based on their subjective strengths. We mix our opinions on the fighters from the editorial team with trends from players and professionals and look at the current rankings in the game.
This is what the rankings mean:
- S-Tier: Very strong, possible nerf on the way
- A-Tier: Well balanced, not too strong or too weak
- B-Tier: Somewhat weaker, but still a good choice
- C-Tier: Currently struggles to compete
However, keep in mind that every player perceives the fighters differently and there can be significant deviations between different tier lists that you find. What is a C-Tier for us might be overpowered in the right hands.
We aim to reach an average of the general opinions and are also happy for you to help with that.
