The 25-year-old American Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, is the individual with the most subscribers on YouTube. Some other content creators use his name to increase their reach – MrBeast does not like this at all.
What kind of videos are they? On June 19, 2023, MrBeast shared a video in which YouTuber Bolo talks about the illness of the 25-year-old. MrBeast suffers from Crohn’s disease, a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterized by severe abdominal cramps and digestive issues.
The video is titled: “MrBeast’s illness is worse than you think.” The thumbnail features a photo of MrBeast along with a supposed tweet from the 25-year-old in which he writes that he will be dead in 3 years.
In the video, Bolo discusses the difficulties of living with the disease and claims it is extremely dangerous to his life. The illness is not only incredibly painful but would also shorten MrBeast’s life by approximately 6 years, according to the YouTuber.
MrBeast’s content mainly consists of large-scale and costly actions. However, he started on YouTube like many content creators with Let’s Plays, particularly of Minecraft.
MrBeast complains that people are faking tweets from him
What does MrBeast have to say about this? The content creator cynically thanks: Without this video, he wouldn’t have known that he would be dead in 3 years. In a follow-up tweet, he calls for an end to the trend of using fake posts from him for thumbnails.
Many users agree with MrBeast, either in the comments to his tweet or under the mentioned YouTube video. In fact, there are several tweets and videos that revolve around the alleged death of the influencer.
This, however, does not seem to be the only thing that bothers MrBeast about the video platform right now. He writes in another tweet on June 19 that he sometimes regrets sharing all his knowledge about YouTube.
He thought people would use the knowledge to find inspiration and create innovative content, but instead, there are countless “MrBeast clones” (via Twitter).
What kind of YouTuber is he anyway? MrBeast has officially been the individual with the most subscribers on YouTube since November 2022. With this, he replaced the then king of Twitch, PewDiePie.
His content is a mix of charitable actions and expensive stunts: For example, he paid for a crucial eye operation for 1,000 people or compared a “super yacht” for 1 billion dollars to a 1-dollar boat.
