In Lost Ark, there are numerous mounts that carry you through Arkesia on their backs. Horses, bugs, dinosaurs, clouds – there is something for everyone. We at MeinMMO will show you which mounts you can get for free.
No one has to ride around on their starter horse in Lost Ark. After just a few levels, the game offers you additional mounts without needing to invest real money.
To open your mount directory, press Alt+V. You can then right-click to select the received mount. Alternatively, drag it directly to your quick bar and use the corresponding hotkey to mount.

All Free Mounts
Chamkuri
The Chamkuri is a chick and somewhat resembles the Chocobos from Final Fantasy. You receive the mount by completing the quest line in Rohendel, which is relatively early. Therefore, you will probably encounter this mount quite often.
Borea Renner
The Borea Renner resembles the starter horse but with armor. This makes it look much more adventurous.
You get the mount by completing 40% of the adventure folio in East Luterra. You can read more about the adventure folio in our guide.
Terpeion
Terpeion is a kind of Pegasus. You can perform three different emotes with it: A victory pose, resting, and a kick backward.
All players received this mount who played when the EU-West servers started. When you open the gift, there is a selection chest with a Terpeion inside.
Frostwolf
In addition to various horses and a chick, you can also ride on wolves. The Frostwolf has snow-white fur and looks dangerous with its mouth open as it surveys its surroundings.
You get the Frostwolf by completing the main quests in Shushire.
Schattenwolf
The Schattenwolf is basically the dark version of the Frostwolf; it looks the same except for its color.
You receive the mount when you achieve a high relationship rank with the NPC Poppy, a white wolf in Shushire.
Rotmähnenwolf
The third and final wolf has a red mane and is obviously a standout.
The Rotmähnenwolf can drop. You receive it randomly in the Chaos Dungeon, and the item level is irrelevant.
Marienkäfer
In Mokoko village, everything is tiny, and your regular horse will not shrink with you when you enter the village. So, you’ll initially be on foot but will receive a ladybug after a few quests to ride on.
Elsewhere, you are too big for the little bug, so you can only use it when you’re in Mokoko village.
Raptor
You can easily obtain this cute dinosaur, which somewhat resembles a T-Rex. Once you reach the endgame and arrive in North Vern, you only need to bring the adventure folio there to 30%. By completing the story, you will achieve at least 10% of that.
Moosschildkröte
You can even ride on a turtle. To obtain the Moosschildkröte, you must sail to Turtle Island. After you have completed the quest line there, you will receive an item that you can exchange with the luxury goods trader in Vern. He will give you the turtle.
Fliegender Nimbus
You can also “ride” on a cloud, which means flying around. For this, you need to go to the island of Shangra, which only appears at certain times.
There, you will farm the dew from Shangra flowers, 7,500 of which you need to exchange with the NPC on the island to obtain the flying nimbus. Be patient, as this will take a while.
Mokoboard
This mount is also a gift from Amazon and Smilegate. After long maintenance, all players found several selection chests in their inventory. Among them was the flying Mokoboard in various colors.
Weißer Skarabäus
You receive the white scarab in exchange for an Ignea mark. You receive this when you have brought any continent in the adventure folio to 100%. It takes a while, but it’s worth it.
