The 17-year-old player FaZe Jarvis has been banned by Epic for life in Fortnite . Now Epic has commented on the case: The young YouTuber can hardly hope for mercy. Meanwhile, his mother is asking for understanding for her son, who loves the game and is now heartbroken. She prays for him and that he gets a second chance.
This is what Epic says: In an interview with the site “TMZ Sports,” a spokesperson for Epic said:
„We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of cheating software. When people use an aimbot or other cheating techniques to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin the game for those who play fairly.”
Despite the tears of FaZe Jarvis and those who advocate for mercy, Epic does not seem to consider easing the ban in any form.
This is the backstory: The successful YouTuber and Fortnite pro FaZe Jarvis (17) has been banned for life by Epic from Fortnite.
He had posted a video in which he used an aimbot. He showed how powerful he was with it and dominated. He was having fun.
Jarvis apparently did not expect consequences for his actions. He played on a second account and did so in full view of the public.
However, Epic banned not the second account, but him as a person. This practically ends his career as a Fortnite YouTuber and professional player.
In a YouTube video, he addressed his fans and appeared devastated. He insisted that he did it without malicious intent and only to entertain his viewers.
He was not aware of the consequences this would have. However, he is now ready to take responsibility for it.
Mother defends her son: He loves the game
This is what the mother said: In the British “The Sun,” the mother of FaZe Jarvis, Barbara, spoke out for her son.
The boy is heartbroken. He loves the game. He has no malicious bone in his body. The mistake did not harm anyone physically, so there should be a chance for redemption.

This is what the mother wrote on Facebook: She says she feels desperate and helpless. Her youngest son Jarvis made a naive mistake and would be forever locked out of something he loved.
She continued writing on Facebook: As a mother, one is only as happy as their unhappiest child.
It has been a very long, hard week. She woke up and “the matter” was trending on Twitter, many supported the boy or criticized him.
However, it is her belief that a lesson is learned much better when people have the opportunity to make amends in some way.
She is now praying for Jarvis, that he is given a chance.
This is what has happened since the ban: Other content creators like Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Félix “xQc” Lengyel or the clan leader of FaZe, Ricky Banks, have spoken out for a reduction of the punishment.
But Epic seems to remain firm on this point.
FaZe Jarvis’s YouTube account has grown by 100,000 subscribers in the last few days despite the ban.
