In Destiny 2, we wanted to know which class you will start with in the Forsaken expansion. And the Mein-MMO community has responded eagerly.
When the Destiny journey continues this evening, on September 4 at around 7 PM in Forsaken, most of you already know which Guardian class you will begin with. Because that’s exactly what we asked you in our Mein-MMO survey last weekend – and thousands of you voted on which class you would choose!
The result of the survey: In the past few days, over 4300 readers participated in the class survey for Forsaken. The result is clear:
- With a large majority of 42%, most of you will embark as Hunters on a quest for revenge against Cayde-6’s murderers
- 29% of you will start as Titans
- 29% will demand justice as Warlocks
So, Hunters are the clear winners. Titans and Warlocks share second place.
How did the result come about?
Differences from the Destiny 2 launch: Already a year ago, at the Destiny 2 release in September 2017, we asked you this question, about which Guardian class you will tackle the new adventures. Back then, the result was not as clear. Although Hunters also won with 35%, Warlocks (33%) and Titans (32%) were close behind.
Why is the Hunter faction so strong? Hunters have always been popular choices, but now at the Forsaken launch, the dominance is remarkable. This may be due to the new Supers, for which we also conducted a survey.
Back then, the new path Spectral Blades of the Void Hunter was voted the coolest new Super with an overwhelming majority. In this Super, the Hunter cloaks themselves in a veil of shadows, only to reappear behind enemies and finish them off with Void Daggers.
Now many Guardians are probably curious and want to try out this Super with their Hunters themselves. You can find all the new Supers from Forsaken here.
What do our readers say about the class choice for Forsaken?

- Skæthir wrote the first comment. He is “really curious” about the survey results because he feels there is an overpopulation of Hunters. He was right – and is starting with a Hunter himself
- huhu_2345 starts “as always” with the Titan. Only after that may Hunters and Warlocks take their turn. I, Tom, do it this way too
- André Wettinger emphasizes that a true hero remains loyal to his line – and for that reason, he will take his Titan Striker
- ratpaak takes his Hunter, whom he already created on September 9, 2014. Only after that, Titan and Warlock will be up
- KingK writes: “Titan is always my main and I will obviously start Forsaken with him. You know this ¯_(ツ)_/¯”
- The hocitR will play the Hunter as always. He looks forward to the new Void Bladedancer (Spectral Blades Super).
- Majonatto Coco and BigFlash88 are still unsure. While Majonatto Coco will figure it out with “Rock, Paper, Scissors”, BigFlash88 is torn between Titan and Warlock – leaning towards Titan
- Also WuWuuHuu is “totally undecided”. In the end, he will decide “again for the Hunter. And the Warlock… and of course the Titan ^^”
- Scofield, Sleeping-Ex, and Andreas Straub do it like many others and start with their main to then level the other classes when content gets slim
- Psycheater will definitely take the “Kung-Fu Titan. As always. Titan FTW” – provided he gets Forsaken
- cabbes, Bert, Marcus Gießler, Fly, Patrick r, kotstulle7, Darius Wucher, and Freundeslisre Vong Grammatik h are among the few who confess to the Warlock in the comments
- Sven Kälber (Stereopushing) summarizes the topic well: “It’s always such a matter of faith.” For him, the Hunter always comes first, but he will play all three classes
