Leaks from UBatcha1 regularly revealed upcoming content from Genshin Impact. After the developers started searching for the identity of the person, they are now throwing in the towel.
Upcoming characters, events and new bosses – Thanks to UBatcha, fans of the action RPG Genshin Impact often knew which content the developers would bring to the game soon.
In contrast, Cognosphere, the publisher of Genshin Impact, now wants to take active measures. They initiated a subpoena against Discord – a legal process to find out the identity of leakers. This includes name, phone number, and address.
UBatcha deletes all content
The person has since removed all content that might violate copyright. The Discord server of UBatcha itself and the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor (WFP) server have stopped their postings. Everything is also gone from Twitter.
UBatcha released a statement in 5 tweets. In it, the person states that they were never contacted directly by HoYoverse.
The procedure is not just about the leaker, but UBatcha is the person with the largest follower count. There are nearly 461,000 on Twitter.
They only received a warning through their own Discord server that the account should no longer disclose any information.
Discord did not explain exactly which content the subpoena refers to. Therefore, the person decided to delete all content directly.
“I should just use this account for random tweets, but I’ve never used social media for personal matters before. We will see,” is the last tweet made by UBatcha.
