The fighting classic Mortal Kombat is releasing its 11th installment in just a few days and is making quite the advertisement push. One ad even targets the game Fortnite.
What does the advertisement show? The advertisement was run by the developers on Instagram. You first see a character that closely resembles the style of Fortnite, and in the background, the classic nature of the battle royale game can be recognized.
Then the fighter “Scorpion” enters the picture and kicks the character out of the frame. Fortnite is thus literally being kicked in the rear.

It says “Battle Brutal instead of Battle Royale.” This is likely a clear message to Fortnite players. They should rather play the new Mortal Kombat instead of the popular battle royale shooter Fortnite.
