Players are still having problems logging into Outriders . This seems to mainly affect PS4 and PS5, as the complaints are focused around these consoles. MeinMMO summarizes the situation for you.
This is the problem: The login issue appeared during the Outriders demo. Numerous players got stuck on the login screenshot. Often, it takes forever to get into the game.
Some even report waiting times of over an hour, or that they eventually just gave up. The problem seems to most often affect PS4 and PS5, but a few Xbox players also report similar login difficulties.
What does the developer say? People Can Fly already included this in their initial summary post (via reddit) regarding known issues with the co-op shooter. However, there still seems to be no proper solution even after over 2 weeks.
So far, there is no statement about a timely fix for the problem. It remains to be seen when they will address the issue. A larger patch is already in the works, but the exact contents are currently unknown: Outriders confirms next patch, aims to deliver a lot of fixes.
Issue causes frustration, some workarounds might help
What affected players say: Essentially, it’s the same for everyone experiencing the problem. They can either not log into the game at all, or they can log in after a long wait. This understandably causes a lot of frustration among players.
Some are already demanding a refund, like the user aopeck, who wrote on April 17: “I haven’t been able to play on PS5 for over a week. This is a complete disgrace. I want a refund from you / Sony” (via reddit).

Many other affected players write similar comments about it. Players report login times between 4 minutes and over an hour. In desperation, some workarounds have been gathered that seem to work in some cases.
Here’s what you can try if you are having the problem:
- User StarKiller93041 recommends starting a connection test during the login attempt. Apparently, in almost every case, it worked for him immediately after the test was completed (via reddit).
- Other players recommend simply disabling the connection on the console for a short time and then reactivating it. This apparently helped as well,
- Most, however, report that repeated restarts of the game have enabled login.
- The developers also recommend clearing the console’s cache memory when the problem occurs by completely turning it off and unplugging it.
It’s not guaranteed that these workarounds will help you, but many players report that one of these methods usually works for them.
Recently, another bug has been causing trouble
What happened there? A more serious bug may have caused People Can Fly to first have to deal with other issues. A bug occurred after patch 1.05 that could cause some players to lose their entire inventory.
With patch 1.06, which was released last week, the error was fixed. Now the developers are also working on restoring lost items: Outriders will return your lost loot, but not everything
