Update from April 19: MontanaBlack announced that the tournament is being postponed “a little bit” as the setup on the Playstation 3 is more complicated than expected (via Twitter).
What kind of tournament is this? For several days, the largest German Twitch streamer MontanaBlack has been planning his shooter tournament on Twitter and has already established the following rules:
- 8 teams each with 4 players per team, led by 1 team leader.
- A total of 3 rounds will take place:
- Round 1: Best of 3 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
- Round 2: Best of 3 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
- Round 3: Best of 5 – A mix of Capture the Flag/Search and Destroy/Control
- The team that wins 2 out of 3 modes in the first two rounds decides the round for themselves. In the 3rd round, at least three matches need to be won.
Is there a prize? Yes, there is. MontanaBlack announced that the winning team will be rewarded with about 7,000-10,000 Euros. The prize money is sponsored by his shop (via Twitter).
When does the tournament start? According to the streamer, it is set to start on April 17. However, he has not shared a specific time yet.
