Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris (36) is one of the most well-known streamers on German Twitch. For some time, there have been rumors about a possible relationship with the significantly younger streamer Alena “snipsska”. Now the relationship between the two has once again become the subject of discussion on social media.
Which streamer is being talked about? The now 19-year-old Alena, also known as “snipsska”, has been streaming regularly on Twitch since March 2021. In spring 2023, her channel suddenly took off – at that time, she streamed together with Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris and showcased case openings in Counter-Strike.
Even at this point, viewers speculated whether the relationship between snipsska and the almost double her age streamer goes beyond friendship or a mentor-mentee relationship. However, the content creators have not confirmed this so far.

A joint stadium visit sparks rumors
What is the current status? Over the weekend of May 11 to 12, 2024, the speculation received new momentum. On X, formerly Twitter, a user posted screenshots from a video that seems to show MontanaBlack with snipsska.
The streamer appears to be irritated by being filmed. The images feature the text: “POV Monte is mad at you for filming him and his girlfriend.”
The video seems to have since been taken offline. Some users claim that videos showing the two together are often deleted quickly.
Shortly after, on reddit, a user asked whether the two are in a relationship. Diligent internet sleuths quickly assembled numerous clues:
- “RJeySt222” speaks of an “open secret”
- “No-Palpitation-567” says: “Everything points to it, and anyone who follows them knows that too. […] You just have to add 1 + 1. […]” (via reddit)
However, these are still just speculations; there is no official confirmation from MontanaBlack or snipsska. This, however, does not stop viewers from discussing the possible relationship.
Viewers view possible relationship critically
What kind of discussion is this? Many users express concerns regarding a relationship between MontanaBlack and snipsska. Essentially, there are two factors at play:
- The age difference: MontanaBlack is 36 years old, while snipsska is only 19. Many find this age difference too large. Legally, there’s nothing wrong with it, but morally, it’s a different issue, they say.
- The power dynamic: Some users argue that MontanaBlack, due to his wealth and fame, is in a superior position over the newcomer and could thus manipulate her.
