Although Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris is one of the biggest streamers on German Twitch, he has been quite rare on air lately. The reason for this includes constant swatting incidents. A new streaming headquarters is supposed to change that.
What is the setup about? At the beginning of July 2024, MontanaBlack launched his new “headquarters” on Twitch. For now, there will be no more streams from his home gaming basement: Viewers had made it so uncomfortable for the streamer at home that he could no longer feel at ease.
For his new headquarters, MontanaBlack rented a warehouse, where, in addition to his streaming setup, his expensive luxury cars and a sofa corner for podcasts are also accommodated. You can admire the chic end result on YouTube. However, viewers can only shake their heads at a few details.
MontanaBlack started back then from his grandparents’ attic.
Sink on the wall and cable chaos under the table
What bothers the viewers? Even when MontanaBlack presented his new headquarters, not everyone was thrilled. On YouTube, the comments were mostly positive; however, a sink that can be seen from a certain camera angle in the background caused amusement. Additionally, not everyone can make sense of the new look:
- “Looks really unchill. Why not create a PC corner in an airplane hangar.”
- “Location looks more like business. Anyone could stream there, and it would have the same loveless effect.”
When the new headquarters appeared in the unofficial Twitch highlights of YouTuber “Satter Hugo” on July 22, 2022, attentive observers noticed another detail. Apparently, a budget cut was made in an area that viewers otherwise rarely get to see: the cable management.
YouTube user nick_iq2310 writes, “Imagine, you set up a whole hall for a small fortune, and in the end, that’s what the cable management looks like.” Mathewsde sees it similarly: “The new headquarters desperately needs cable management. Triggers me every time.” (via YouTube)

How much did all this cost? MontanaBlack has not yet revealed how much money he invested in the new headquarters. In the stream, he only said:
- He spent “not a dime” on the setup; everything from the floor to the PC to the lamps was sponsored
- However, he paid the regular hourly wage for the work needed to design the hall
- The rent for the hall is supposed to correspond to a “nice 2- to 3-room apartment”
Additionally, there is the new Porsche GT3 RS, which now decorates the hall instead of the plain S-class – it probably wasn’t enough left for cable management.
For a while, a Lamborghini seemed to be the ultimate status symbol among Twitch streamers. Currently, the trend seems to be towards Porsche. Even the otherwise more down-to-earth Trymacs recently acquired a new vehicle: Trymacs almost canceled his 200,000€ car because there wasn’t a certain color – Only drives it on special occasions
