The streamer Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris is back on Twitch after a 33-day ban. In his first stream after the forced break, over 100,000 people were watching simultaneously.
This is what happened:
- On September 24, MontanaBlack was banned on Twitch for 33 days – the reason was his streams from Malta. There, he catcalled several women and even took photos of them
- The ban caused a stir and many people demanded a harsher ban – MontanaBlack showed remorse and accepted the ban
- On October 27, the streamer returned, as the 33 days were over – thousands of viewers followed his first stream after the ban
Lots of real talk and thousands of viewers
This is how the stream went: MontanaBlack was live for about 4 hours. Just before 10:00 PM, he started the stream and it ran into the night.
He began with the song “Wieder hier” by Marius Müller-Westernhagen and then started his stream visibly happy. He then talked with his viewers for over 2 hours and showed them things they missed during his absence.
But he also showed things that he does “as standard” in his streams:
MontanaBlack gave insights into his new house and even raffled off new cell phones.
After about 2 hours he then ended the “Just Chatting” category and switched to FIFA 21. He has been consistently posting videos about it on his YouTube channel. He couldn’t celebrate the release of the game on Twitch due to his ban.
There he opened some packs and then played some matches with streamer colleague Trymacs.
According to the statistics: From the numbers, MontanaBlack’s return was a complete success. At its peak, over 108,000 viewers watched MontanaBlack’s stream (via Sullygnome). On average, there were around 73,000 viewers simultaneously.
Compared to the numbers from his last streams, this is a clear growth. In the last 90 days, the streamer averaged 35,000 viewers simultaneously, and the stream on October 27 is by far the most successful.
MontanaBlack himself is also satisfied with his stream. He writes on Twitter that it feels good to be back.
Now it will be seen how MontanaBlack’s streams will develop and whether he has truly learned from the incident in Malta. The success of his return stream definitely shows that his fans are eager for his streams again.
Even in his absence, MontanaBlack was not completely gone from Twitch. He provoked with a risky gag:
