Marcel “MontanaBlack” Eris and Jens “Knossi” Knossalla are two of the biggest streamers on German Twitch. Now, the two reveal what their monthly salaries look like.
What income is being discussed here? As successful influencers with their own brands and products, MontanaBlack and Knossi run their own businesses, from which they can then draw a monthly salary.
So it’s not about how much the streamers make overall from Twitch, YouTube, and energy drinks, but the actual money that is available to them each month. They talked about this during a joint “Camper Tour” from September 20 to 22, 2024, on Twitch.
MontanaBlack needs 4 times as much money as Knossi
This is what Knossi’s salary looks like: The entertainer receives a monthly salary of 10,000 euros from his GmbH. However, at least half of that would immediately go to expenses, around 5,000 to 6,000 euros, according to Knossi.
So, he actually has 4,000 euros, explains the Twitch streamer. In most months, though, he doesn’t need that much: “It’s not like I always think I need to buy something.”
He explains: The amount has been set that way because that’s supposedly the best tax rate, but he doesn’t really know how that works. Because: income tax still has to be paid on the salary.

And what about MontanaBlack? The Twitch streamer doesn’t seem quite sure how much he actually pays himself each month. He looks at his colleague Knossi somewhat questioningly. He estimates that it is around 40,000 euros a month.
He says he has significantly higher costs than Knossi. However, Knossi counters: But also a significantly higher income.
Beyond their salaries, both have a credit card through their respective companies. Additionally, influencers of their stature often receive many things for free, such as MontanaBlack’s entire setup of his new “gaming center”.
Fellow Twitch streamer Papaplatte is also the managing director of his own company. Recently, he recounted how he arrived coolly at the notary, proudly signed as CEO—only to call his mom at the crucial moment: Twitch streamer Papaplatte (27) is managing director of his own company—but he needed mom at the notary
